Happy Birthday, Miss Audrey!

This Friday the 13th turned out pretty lucky for me - I got to spend some time with this gorgeous little one as she celebrated turning ONE with a sunset picture session. It was hot, humid and buggy but turn on some music and this little one got her grooves on! (Seriously, ya'll, the cutest little shimmy I've ever seen!) Layer a gorgeous cake in and some beautiful props that mom brought and this session is easily one of my top favorites! Happy Birthday, Sweet Audrey! Thank you for letting me celebrate with you!

The Davis Family

It was HOT, HUMID and so sticky. With barely a breeze to be found - but you'd never know how uncomfortable it was. This sweet family showed up dressed to the nines. These sweet girls - OH MY GOODNESS - I simply couldn't handle the cuteness! Those curls! Those gorgeous blue eyes! They had me from GO. And their beautiful Mom and Dad - oh the LOVE. So palpable. The W Family

What can I say? This may be one of my most favorite sessions. Getting the opportunity to capture some precious images for one of my dearest friends was such a treat. And the scenery wasn't bad either! We battled with some harsh sun at times but with some creativity we captured some really beautiful shots for this family to share for a lifetime. An Enchanted Tea Party

What a privilege it was for me to spend an afternoon with sweet girls and a wonderful hostess as Teacups and Saucers hosted their first tea party. I loved having the opportunity to capture this beautiful blended family's pictures this weekend. You can see how much they all adore each other from the way that mom and dad interact and look after their kids to the way the older kids keep close tabs on the younger ones. It made me smile to be a part of their day - even if the weather wasn't super cooperative and created some tricky lighting situations. The H Family was so fun to capture images of. Their sweet boy was a little camera shy but we got some sweet smiles and grins in the flower fields and when a toy car and toy space shuttle made their appearance later in the session at the dock.  Capturing these moments gave me some some time to reflect on those moments when my son was this beautiful boy's age - I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of a special day for this family! Planning

Easily one of my most favorite parts of a session is the planning leading into it - only second to seeing how all that planning paid off with some beautiful dreamy images. Today's session with my boys was part of planning for a mini session scheduled for next week which includes getting used to some new equipment and shooting in a new location. I scouted the area today looking for some great locations to make reds and blues that are going to be found in my client's session outfits really pop and standout. I think I found it!
